A note to homeowners.
A piece of advice to our homeowner friends: Once you have purchased, *never* go back to renting. Your landlord will harass you about the water and garbage bill even though you recycle everything possible. Spaghetti will come up in your sink and you alone will know that you don't even have spaghetti in the house. Your neighbors will stomp around loudly above you, unaware that wearing shoes on wood floors actually makes noise. Also, they will leave bags of litter critters for you on the front porch to come home to after a long day of work.

Sorry to hear that. On the bright side, at least this will keep you motivated in searching for a more permanent place to live.
Bleah.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, those of us who own co-ops and condos can face similar problems from neighbors and owners' associations.
So owning a *house* is the way to go!
I imagine it would be hard to go back.
Thankfully I don't know any better.
You should just move back to Indiana and put an end to the harrassment.... :)
i just threw up a little in my mouth. i don't think i can hear anymore about other people's spaghetti in your drain!
LOL! Awesome that this post actually made Jill throw up in her own mouth. That's exactly how I felt the three times I had to clean up the neighbors' dinner in our bathroom sink. Blech!
Brooke - We're that much closer to actually taking you up on this request b/c of the misery living in this hole has created over the past week. LOL. =)
You can always stay in our guest room! :)
Neighbors can be a real pain in the butt. I've had horrible neighbors over the years from the DJ's who would spin loud drum and bass at 4:30am to the guy who answered the door naked, to the apparently deaf woman who loved mariachi music, to the australian metalheads, to the gangbanger looking guy who would stand on the corner for hours doing who knows what (I had my suspicions though). The worst was when the I heard a loud knock on my door one morning only to open it to have 4 cops standing their asking me about the whereabout of my upstairs neighbor, that made me feel real good about that guy..... It is enough to make one want to move to a shack in the woods.
