Third game, third post.
Some eye candy for the ladies, and a little good luck for the team vs. Sweden tomorrow! Not that it matters because they're moving on to round 2. ;)
We'll be hanging out at the George again tomorrow night to watch the game. Woo!

Ah, Beckham...he sure is pretty to look at! You are probably my only girlfriend who is into the World Cup. We TiVo all the games, although I don't watch nearly as many of them as Joe does. I do have to admit that I'm addicted!

I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHO HE WAS UNTIL I READ ANNEMARIE'S COMMENT!! But Phew!! He sure makes me want to start watching soccer now!!!! he is my new screensaver....

Annemarie, I even dreamed about tonight's game last night! There's something invigorating about sitting amongst a bunch of fellow anglophiles for the game. ;) Which team is Joe rooting for? I'm sure I know the answer, but thought I'd ask anyhow...

Joe isn't really cheering for any one. He likes Germany right now. They're playing really well. I do like watching England (mostly for the eye candy), but they've got to step it up if they want to get much farther. I generally route for the underdog in whatever game I'm watching. I love the pure joy on their faces when they do well. I have been getting really into the games. I'm sure my couch commentary is driving Joe crazy. While I do have technical comments, I also wonder about things like why Beckham always wears long sleeves...what's up with that?

LOL, Annemarie. Yeah, I was wondering that kind of stuff, too. Well, the good news is... England tied Team Ikea yesterday (although they came so darn close to winning!). So, we get to see more this weekend! Wahooooooo.

Team IKEA...I love it! Joe's pretty upset about the USA game today. I watched the second half in the break room at work...pathetic! I hate to sound unpatriotic, but I they didn't deserve a win today.
Shawn's not too happy either, but he's ready to fully support England now. So, that's all good! Maybe you can convince Joe that England is the way to go too! ;) Have a good weekend with round 2!
