Sun-day.

Yesterday was crazy sunny here in Seattle. Amazingly warm and all around gorgeous. We started off our morning at The George & Dragon for the World Cup final. Italy walked away with a win, I left with a wacky sunburn (regardless of the sunblock I lathered on before leaving!). It was a fun way to start the day, though... 500 people singing, cheering on their team, and having an all-around good time.
We showed Bill & Jenny some of the northside sights and ended up with a smores cookout on the beach at sunset. Bill and Auri built a "Survivor"-style fire for our marshmallow-roasting pleasure and Shawn busted out some metal ballads on his acoustic guitar. We came home smelling just like our little campfire, all yummy and toasted.

sounds nice .... our beaches were closed this weekend, ugh.
Was 'Every Rose Has it's Thorn' part of the repertoire? I have Warrant stuck in my head right now... boy do i miss the '80s.
Yes it was! =)
The beach is indeed swell to have around, though. We just can't get enough of it on nice days.
hey Jill, you'll be pleased to know that both Every Rose by Poison and Heaven by Warrent were in the mix! :)
