Thanksgiving.

We woke up to a beautiful morning here in Seattle. We haven't seen the sun shine like this in awhile, so we headed out to Kerry Park to enjoy the view. It was nice to just sit there, looking at Rainier, and feeling the sun on our faces.

After our quick trip out of the house, we came back and put together a nice big meal. We busted out Martha's baking handbook and tried out a new recipe: apple pie with an almond crumb crust. It was quite a treat. We are sadly without visitors this year, but were fortunate that our friend Jon came over to eat with us and cheer on the Colts game (even though he's a Bears fan). It ended up being a pretty swell day.

The pie looked delicious! Glad your weather was nice for the holiday... we had a few flakes of snow first thing in the morning! xoxo
