John James Preston.

We've been taking it easy since my sinus infection still isn't 100% gone. But, we did get out to see Run Fatboy Run this weekend. While it was a bit of a B-, the trailers were all good. Included was the Sex & the City trailer. If you haven't already heard spoilers for the movie, go ahead and watch it (shown above). Fortunately I had. Otherwise, I'd be pretty pee-od. They definitely give away a lot in this one! I mean, we've only waited how many years now? Let me be a little surprised... =)

A trip to the ER.

I'm assuming it's obvious that things are crazy here by the looks of this vacated blog. I have one of three fundraisers under my belt, and S has been working on a major project at work, too. He's even working today--Easter Sunday--for a rare bit of required overtime.

I think the rush of the last month or so has caught up with me, though. I've been down with a sinus infection since last Sunday and finally landed in the ER last night. For the last three days I've had sinus-related migraines, but yesterday's was way over the top. I spent the entire day vomiting and each time I did so, my entire head felt like it was expanding and nearing explosive levels.

Our doctor was worried my infection might have turned into meningitis, so we headed to the ER. Fortunately, I have no such thing. Just a snot-filled head on the extreme end of things. They went ahead and pumped a bunch of liquids and drugs into my system, so I'm hoping things will be on the up now. They kind of have to be... the next fundraiser is Thursday and it's a big one. Nearly 2,000 guests will be in attendance...

Doug Benson is back.

One of our fave comedians, Doug Benson, has returned with a new video version of his former brilliant podcast, Doug Loves Movies! It's only about three minutes long, so you have no excuse not to watch it (unless you are not in a position to hear a lot of tremendous swearing).

The Teenagers.

I am loving these songs by The Teenagers right now:

Love No
Starlett Johansson

Looking forward to catching them on their next tour, too...

Alpental.

We haven't mentioned it much on here, but we have been skiing nearly every weekend. The amount of snow this year has been incredible (as you can tell by the massive dirty drift S is standing in front of). Rumor has it that we could be skiing until May, although with each day having been in the high 50s lately, I'm not so sure that will become reality.

This past Sunday, we finally tried out Alpental... the harder part of the Summit at Snoqualmie, where we hold season passes. We always suspected it would be a bit more advanced, and it was. After testing out one particularly leg burning hill, we called it a day.

We're off to Crystal again this Saturday for a full day of it. A day at Crystal leads to tired muscles and some of the best sleep I'll ever get. With the busy week coming up at work (our first fundraising event of the season is finally on Tuesday), I'm going to need all the rest I can get!

Diapers.

Fellas, divert your eyes, because this might be the girliest thing I have done.

Friday night, I put together a diaper cake for a co-worker who became a mother this past week. She's been on bed rest since the beginning of the year, so I wanted to send over a special treat.

The cake was quick to create, and I think the result is pretty darn cute. I followed these directions, but think there should have been direction as to what size of a cake platform to use. I ended up with one that was a bit on the large side, so I'd recommend getting the 14" size.

Now, I just have to wait for some more friends to procreate...
